Employee Relations Specialist
Introduction
Hesto Harness has a vacancy for an Employee Relations Specialist based in Stanger
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that Employee Relations / Industrial Relations (ER/IR) Policies and Procedures for the handling of misconduct/incapacity exist and are developed in line with applicable legislation.
- Provide a specialist consulting and advisory service for the company on all employee/industrial relations related policies, agreements, and procedures.
- Provide an industrial relations training and development service for the company.
- To assist and support management in trade union matters
- To represent the company at the Dispute Resolution Centre (DRC)
- To reduce the amount of (DRC) referrals by providing sound advice on labour law issues and delivering thoroughly researched and substantiated outcomes.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric/ NQF Level 4 (Essential)
- Bachelor’s Degree/ BTech in Human Resources/Labour Law or any other related qualification (Essential)
- 5 – 10 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing and production environment as ER Specialist (Essential)
- At least 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry experience working with MIBCO (Essential)
- Knowledge of Employment Legislation/HR principles and best practice
- 6 Years’ experience of dispute Resolution Centre (DRC) rules and dispute resolutions (Essential)

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the HR Officers in the effective candidate attraction initiatives to meet departmental requirements.
- Support the roll out of HR Projects and organisational change programmes to support the HR Strategy.
- Assist the business managers in the organisational design, ensuring any structural changes are competently executed.
- Conduct monthly meetings with respective departments.
- Design and manage employee surveys.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
- Accurate reporting of HSE statistics, identification of trends and implementation of corrective actions.
- Creating and maintaining a Health & Safety culture of awareness.
- Participate in internal audit processes i.e., SHE audits/workplace inspections and conducts follow up and verification to ensure the identified gaps are closed.
- To facilitate risk assessments processes.
- To manage ISO 14001:2015 & 45001:2018 management system.
- To manage mandatory H&S training.
- To manage risk management processes and audits.
